It's a legal thing that I think the moderator will let through.

.

Think the make up of the tablets are the same - originally the tablets were for people with nerve ending problems, if you look at the links you will see what the nerve ending problems were -

couldn't find anything for alzain so maybe that was the name before it was pregabalin.  But I was told they are much of a muchness but I don't know which I couldn't cope with but it was one of them.

How long have you been on Lyrica please.  I hate to think i will be on it for the rest of my life

Moderator thanks for the links. All I can say is that i hold many Glaxo shares and I would be annoyed if a patient was given a generic prescription -  I was given Lyrica on prescription by the pain clinic in Gandia here in Valencia and have always been given it. Lyrica costs  something like 50€ but pensioners here pay a percentage of their prescription costs - Haven't a clue what anyone else pays for a prescription.  We don't get prescriptions free here  - its only a tiny percentage to pay but couldn't afford to buy it myself over the counter

Pazital is difficult to get sometimes in Spain. my doctor would only give me a prescription to take so much a day and so we have to go to the chemist  every so often to top up. I presume that is to prevent me from taking too many.  But then we buy it over the counter costing something like 3€   I think Pazital has a different name too depending on the country where you live,
