Hi all
Am on day 4 on this drug and only on a low dose of 150mg a day 75mg in the mornings and 75mg at night but I was just wondering if anyone else has the drunken sailor effects when you wake up! My legs don't feel like they are there lol.
Takes till lunch time till it goes but its a weird feeling
if anyone has any symptoms like this please share or any other effects that I could come across.
ive been feeling better since ive been on it but some ppl saying it's a hard drug to get off
oh dear kevin, be very careful, I have what I describe as drunk, andy pandy legs, currently withdrawing from this med, the most I took was 28 x 25mg caps, over 21 days and I was hooked, I knew from the first cap I did not want to take the drug because of all the side effects it freaked me out, vertigo, awful burps, swollen belly, no feeling in hands and feet, swelling hands and feet, feeling of a tight band round head, ditto throat, difficulty breathing, just about everything in list of side effects, plus, prolonged bouts of sneezing, , bitter saliva, dribbling,am withdrawing very, very slowly. to me it's toxic, if you have any doubts, think carefully. it is very difficult to get off, if you google pregablin and go to some of the results it will open your eyes to what this drug has done to people, .take care, bye, rosie
Thanks rosemary I have also had a bit of vertigo! I do feel a lot better since being on them. It's horrible taking drugs but I cant cope with the anxiety attacks but definitely get that drunk feeling in the mornings with a thick head
Hi, I am in Spain and Ive been taking now Lyrica for a long time and I do hope one day I go off! but in the meantime I am feeling so much better. I read your post and I felt I had to tell you my experience. I know now that I shouldn't trust any doctor and I always think that what a doctor says may be different of what other doctor would say so the right answer may be somewhere different. I tried anti depression tablets and I am still on lorazepam but finally I found a doctor that is helping me. I am worry about the way you are taking those tablets and that explains all the terrible side effects you feel. My doctor told me that many people react different but it is very important to start with the minimum dosis someone can take. I started by taking 25 every 8 hours. (75 a day) so I was taking 25-25-25 . The thing is to increase little by little the amount so your body adjust perfectly with less side effects (which I had very tiny of those side effects). So after two weeks I increased 25-25-50, after another two weeks 50-25-50, then 50- 50- 50, then 50-50-75 to finally end by taking 75-75-75. I am ok now so I dont need to increase anymore, althought I could if needed. Then thing is that this tablets has the effect after you take them and after some hours finish. So its important to always have in your body the tablets and thats why I take three times a day. Twice a day is not enough and starting with 75 morning and 75 night is too much and I suggest you better talk with your doctor or change to a different one and care for yourself! Unfortunatly there is no cure for this but let's hope while they investigate the reason we can cope with these tablets. Good luck and all the best!
