I've been taking Pregabalin for neuropathic pain for a year or two, but I made the decision to come off it because of the side effects I experienced. I was taking 250 mg a day, and stopped 25 mg a day a week at a time, so a slow withdrawal.
Been off it 3 or 4 weeks now but seem to have hit a real low, depression, nausea, lack of energy, and just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same? Can I put this down to normal withdrawal symptoms?
I take 20 mg fluoxitine a day still.
Be very glad to hear other peoples experiences.
hi jessie, i take 400mg pregab a day for anxiety disorder, i'm concerned about side effects, i get anxious and tearful but then i always did, i get dizzy- headed though. i haven't tried coming off them so sorry can't help.
I can relate to the dizzy nausea....I'm trying to cut back myself...it's almost the same feelings I had when I first started taking it...good luck to you....
Hi susan. It's difficult to cut back but good to take it very gradually. When I first started on them I felt really good, big burst of energy, sleeping better, etc. but with the increasing dose came more side effects for me. I think maybe I'm getting a bit of a reaction as my body clears them out completely.
If you are cutting down do it very slowly, give your body time to adjust.
take care, x
