I am not a doctor, but I would stop using it. It can cause dementia. It can stop synapses forming in the brain. I found it didn't really do much for pain. I use natural methods now. What are you using it for?

Hi, I have been on pregablin for about 3 years. 2 x 75mg per day, and it has helped me a lot.

I am taking it currently at 375mg. pd. for anxiety. I find it helpful and shall persevere in spite of some side effects (minor psoriasis ). My friends have commented that I am more calm. I feel perhaps sedated, but will settle for that at the moment. I would actually like to try and increase the dose. I have taken it for almost a year. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks very much for your reply I just started it Saturday night 50mg twice a day. I've not noticed any side effects yet tho today I didn't have much of an appetite. Suppose it's too early tho. X

Thanks so much for your reply . I've been suffering with anxiety n not sleeping doctor thinks this will help. Fingers crossed it's been awful. Did u have any side effects x

hi karen l was told l had a trauma in my life causing anxiety and stress to build up in my body l don't go out l didn't what to do anything pregablin give me my life back x

That's good Victoria it has helped you can I ask if you have had any weight gain it seems too be a side effect a lot of people say. Have you had any other side effects x

I started on 50mg x2 a day too. It helped almost immediately with my Neuro pains, and also seems to have enabled me to try and at least do a few more things after my Guilainne Barre Syndrome. It reduced my appetite at first too, but that is a good thing for me, as I love my food 😉

It has been my saving grace too, but for keeping my pain levels at a bearable level most days. And it's given me a new lease of confidence in myself since my life changing illness. I have had to report one generic brand of pregablin though, Rewisca. It gave me terrible side effects, so I did a yellow card report. They gave swapped me to another brand now and it seems ok. My Gp won't prescribe Lyrica brand anymore because of cost.

hi glad you feeling better can l ask were you live? I live in the UK l still have Lyrica Brand.

hi karen l but on a few pounds because l was not eating before l went on the medication .l can say l didn't have any other side affects Have you tried any other medication before this one? x

Hay Karen im not huge but ive put on about a stone hay im not shore if pregab did couse i take other drugs as well as tramadol im shore you will be ok have a great day and im in Rochester Kent England

Hi Karen, I have been on Pregablin for more than a year now. I find it helpful for pain, i take it for arthritis and nuropathic pain. It helps me sleep, without it i wouldn't sleep, it relaxes my muscles and induces sleep. The only downside for me is it can cause weight gain, to weigh it up i would rather watch my weight, try to eat healthy and control my pain. I am a little overweight but because my mobility is limited i get by. I would say give Pregablin a try for a few weeks because it takes a while for your body to adjust. As with all drugs what suits one doesn't suit another. I hope you find it helpful. Good luck.
