Pregnant with first breakout. Please help

So im 20 weeks pregnant and this is a blessing as i didnt think i could conceive so i was enjoying being pregnant but at the same time i was very anxious something would go wrong. I woke up and my vagina seemed really sore and itchy and i was having alot more discharged so naturally i thought it was thrush but later on the pain was getting worse so i looked down and i had 3 blisters inbetween my vagina and butwhole and it seemsd as if my vagina had split, so i started to worry and cleaned the area and booked an appointment at the doctors but couldnt get one for a few days (havnt been seen yet) but it has got so much worse to the point that walking hurts, peeing hurts and i try to clean down there 3 times a day but its getting difficult because every time something touches it, it causes so much pain to the point of tears. Is there anything i can do to clean it without stinging so much? How do i heal them quickly? Will this affect my unborn baby?

From everything I have read when trying to research this the most dangerous time in a pregnancy to get herpes is in the third trimester close too giving birth. The fact that you are only 20 weeks this should not harm the baby but inform your obgyn immediately so that they can give you the correct advice and monitor throughout your pregnancy. As for the other I dont have much advice bit from what I have read from others some pour water over the area as they pee to lesson the stinging. Try to pat dry gently instead of wiping, keep the area dry if possible and wear cotton underwear and none when possible. Also drink alot of water to dilute your urine. The most important thing right now is too see your doctor asap and try not to stress as this will affect outbreaks and the baby. Hopefully this is not what you think. 😊 has your husband/partner etc shown any signs

Thank you this is really helpfull and has put my mind at ease, i have an emergancy appointment tomorrow to get it checked out but im pretty sure this is what i think if is but no my partner hasnt got any singhs but ive asked him to get tested to be safe. Also ive been putting Vaseline on when it gets really sore or when i need to walk and this helps the pain a little bit but i make sure i dont use it all the time, is this okay to do or will it make them worse?

How did the appointment go? Did you get some answers about what it is and what to do? I know i have read that they normally give you antiviral meds at the end of the pregnancy around 3rd trimester to prevent the baby from catching anything if vaginal delivery. And i think they can do a c-section too if needed and it would be fine. I’ve read where it is normally safe and healthy for the baby way. Good luck with the pregnancy as well!!
