Hi everybody
I havent been on here a while as I was starting to feel better. Im still on citalopram 10mg but fount out im 8/9 weeks pregnant all of a sudden im in panic central again. Dr wont give me anymore citalopram and I have 1 left! !! I already have a 2 year old daughter and I was on the pill too until 2 days ago when I fount out.
Im hoping anyone can help has anybody gone through a pregnancy without cit and been ok?
Im scared my mental health will get worse too
I sound selfish I no its all me me me but I dont think I can have a baby where im stuck in the house my daughter has suffered enough as it is because of my anxiety.
Any advice I truly appreciate

Personally I feel that it's going to do more harm than good by stopping your medication like that. I know that some people take citalapram all the way through their pregnancy, there are risks involved but you have to weight up all the risks and benifits. Go back to see another gp x

First of all congrats! I asked my doctor a few months ago IF I got pregnant again can I be on cit still and she said that they haven't really done many tests about of it would affect the baby so I would still be able to be on if because if I came off it was stress myself and the baby even more.
I would definately go back and ask your gp as 10mg is a low dose. I am on 40mg and she said to me the benefits would out weigh the risks.
If you feel that you need the cit during pregnancy and it would stress you out too much to come off as sometimes people have horrendous withdrawal then stay on it chick.
I would def go back as you're supposed to wean off slowly anyhow xxx congratulations on the baby xxx
