Hi Claire,
I am sorry to hear about your anxiety and your struggle with sleep. You aren't going to die so get that out of your head. Have you got some symptoms like your heart is racing fast or nausea? if so this is probably just because of the anxiety- there is no point spending your life worrying about dying when one, everyone dies at some point so enjoy life while you're young, and two you have no symptoms or conditions. It seems like you're paranoid due to your anxiety and you're only googling the symptoms due to obsessive thoughts to reassure yourself. stop focusing on the thoughts and think about something positive like all the memories you will make when your baby is born, what you will call the baby, the bond you will make- happy thoughts. You can do this and you are so strong so try and put your positive had on and before bed try and do relaxation techniques- you can find these on youtube etc, so you drift into a deeper sleep. As for taking the propranolol that is fine. I have no been on this medication pregnant however I am a nurse and I have witnessed many people who have been on it pregnant. It will not effect the baby and will only help you and your health whilst growing your little gift.
If you need anyone to talk to I am here. x
Ahh thank you very much it’s just so easier said than done sometimes the doctors telling me o have to
Come off them and go on ant depressants that helps anxiety I just don’t want to be worrying more than I am already xxxx
It is easier said than done yes, but trying to be positive and reminding yourself that it is not your rational part of the brain thats thinking, its the panicked part should help. try and to distinguish a panic worry with a real life worry and you might feel some ease. If your doctor thinks it will be better for you to go onto antidepressants then consider it- they will lift your mood and help with the anxiety also. You are strong and you will get better. Try not to let your anxiety define you, you're incharge of your own mind don't forget that. x
Hi Claire,
I feel your pain! I suffer too. If you need to talk it through I will talk.
