Prescription glasses explained

Hi there what does my prescription mean for my glasses? I know I’m short sighted but what does all the rest mean?

Right eye

Sph | -0.75

Cyl | -0.25

Axis | 175.0

Left eye

Sph | -0.75

Ok, so the sph stands for sphere so you need -0.75 correction, since you are nearsighted, cyl is for cylinder which is the astigmatism ( unequal curvature of the front surface of the eye) and the axis is the position in which the cylinder must be corrected for. Your left eye does not have astigmatism or at least enough to be corrected for.
