Pressure behind eye.

Hello.

A few days ago I had a very peculiar headache.

It sounds like a "ice pick" headache or cluster headache. Though I've never had one before.

Since this short headache a vein above my right temple has been very pronounced and I've had this awful pressure behind my right eye. It's not painful, however the pressure feels like it is getting more prominent and worse. (Almost feeling like my eye is trying to leave it's socket) sounds weird I know.

And now this evening half of my right eye has gone completely bloodshot. Straight down the middle. Almost looks like half my eye has been dyed perfectly. Half white half red. Odd. There is some slight discomfort now (presuming because of burst blood vessels?) I am also getting some visual problems. A haze/blur in my poretheral.

It's the weekend, so getting a doctor's appointment is impossible. Should I be concerned and go to the hospital this weekend? Or should I wait until next week and get a doctor's appointment.

Sorry for long post! And thank in advance for any replies!

All I can tell you is that if it were me, I would definitely go to the emergency room immediately. Something is obviously very wrong with your eye and if you wait, you could have dire consequences. Better to be safe than sorry.

Did you have a recent eye surgery?  If so, what type of surgery? Let us know what you find out.

Best wishes!

No, I've had no surgery or any trauma to the eye.

I understand where you are coming from. However, I seem to fit symptoms for a migraine or cluster headache.

However it is sound advice. I shall go to the hospital early tomorrow morning.

Thank you

You must be checked for temporal arteritis. which is a  potentially serious condition if left untreated ,so go get it checked urgently
