i had my right tkr done 11 weeks ago , I'm doing very well I have a bend of 135 and is very straight,my problem is my other leg I have really bad pain in the back of the knee down to my calf the Dr thought it might be a clot, it wasn't,I think I pulled a muscle but it's happened again could it be another pulled muscle or do you think it could be something else ? I would be grateful for some answers thanks.
I have had a locked knee for three months and then my other leg and hip and back started hurting was told I was putting too much pressure on my other leg. Rested for few days and it had gone. Also had my knee key hole surgery yesterday. Hope yours pain soon goes Bev
It could be you have changed your walking stride. Most of us limped a favored the bad leg then as we healed we started to walk straight which causes all of the tissue to have to realign. Keep walking slow and steady. You may have to massage with a good rub like tiger balm to get it loosened.
Had a rt TKR 16 weeks ago and the surgeon radically straightened my leg with the result that lots of other bits of my body from the waist down have been quite painful at times and I was told it was a readjustment process with no predictable time for it to rebalance. Some days OK others not. Ask your physio for a take on this - they have lots of experience of TKR associated problems. In my case its my back that hurts most so going to see an osteopath next week. Good luck in getting answers and treatment if needed!
