I´M 40 years old. I had 6 years pevlic pain, and I decided after lot of other medical treatments to TUMT /Transurethral microwave thermotherapy/. After 2,5 years of this therapy a have still big problem, worstes than before. I had big pain after urination and also other pain problem. Now doctor after cystoscopy diagnosis to me narrowing of the bladder neck! Probably after this therapy. Have pls someone advice to me what I can do?

I'm 71 and you are the only one besides myself to have had and reported on the TUMT procedure. I had it done in January of this year and I don't think I would have another. Although I have been off the meds (tamsulosin and after that Cialis) I do not feel the outcome to be all that I expected. I had no pain prior to the procedure just the usual BPH problems. Retention twice and once day after procedure along with the expected discomfort of bladder spasyms, blood in urine and semen etc. However my sexual function remains strong which pleased me very much. The thought of going thru a TURP and losing all that was toooo scary! My night BR trips are about the same and stream still weak. Following all the posts here to keep abreast of new developments.
Try to get 2 more doctor opinions and ask them what they would do if they personally had the same medical problem you have.

My opinion after my own experiences with TUMT, that method is also dangerous like TURP, nobody really knows what can happen after 10 years. But TURP has more complications I think and I also hoping for more new developments. Good luck James!
Thanks for advice! I did. I visited more than 2 doctor, but nobody can help me. They don´t know nothing. Only solution is Turner Warwick operation for cutting my bladder neck. But I think that operation only help to me better urinating.
Two things. Go to a physio that specializes in CPPS and make sure this is not the problem.
My uro doc wants me to have TURP surgery. I'm very unsure about this.

I've had ED that started at the young age of 32 an just had penial implant done this past Jan. an sure don't want to loose my ability to cum from the TURP surgery.
I think always CPPS was the problem before, but for this reason after many medication I decided for TUMT operation after urologist discussion. But this operation has lot of sides effect like narrowing of the bladder neck /my case/ and etc. Also I had no pain before only urinary urgency, no empty bladder. In my country unfortunately we have no specialized urologist for this illness. They give me only standart medication like alfa blocker and etc. but no effect. Thanx for your advice, perhaps I have to look for some other specializes doctor in abroad.
Two years after going through TURP with no improvement in symptoms I was recommended for bladder neck incision by 2nd urologist but I got advice from this forum three months ago on using use multivitamins with minerals and my urine flow improved with groin and testicular pain subsiding. I only combined the multivitamina supplements with Cell food Repai supplement and some hibiscus tea and pruna tea and stinging nettle tea. I was alternating the substances and not take all of them at once. Currenly I have improved and I take cell food repair and the multivitamins irregularly (may be once after two days or so) and my pain has reduced and seems to be disappearing except for discomfort in the area between the anal region and the testicles. I am trying another solution and if it helps me I will share it with you. remain in the loop.

I just had penile implant surgery this past Jan. an really don't want to have an surgery that will take away my ability to take away my ejaculation.
