Problem with Dental Implant

Hello

I had a dental implant fitted at UL1 7 months ago, it was an immediate placement following extraction.

I have had persisting throbbing and aching pain a bit like a bad toothache, to varying degrees but this is not settling and the past few days has gotten worse, surgeon says the implant looks fine clinically. I also have a permanent very sore point right at the top of the gum line meeting the the lip, which if pressed, causes a very sharp pain that makes me jump. I also have to avoid applying pressure in this area when washing my face.

I’ve xrays and a second opinion which questioned a gap half way down implant on one side and a slight buckle but that was it, it has integrated but not to the full 70%. They have also checked it manually by trying to unscrew it and it doesn’t move.

It’s starting to make me feel very miserable, if it was a tooth feeling this way I’d be asking the dentist to take it out.

Applying any pressure seems to aggravate it.

I’m about to have an temporary crown fitted to see if it can be loaded.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to get this checked? Or any advice on what the cause may be?

Thank you.
