Problems after gallbladder surgery. Any advice?

Hi everyone,

About six weeks ago I had my gallbladder removed. I showed no symptoms at all and did not expect for this to happen.

I ended up being in ten days due to me being in surgery for nearly 5 hours. I had a bile leak and there was some damage to my liver.

Despite me being in ten days I needed no meds on coming out of hospital and I was OK within 4 weeks.

However I now have a lot of pain where my drain was and struggle to breathe when I am crouching or bending down. I have been to A and E to get checked over. X-ray, Ultrasound both came back fine, blood tests, blood pressure and temperature is fine.

So I’m struggling to know what this is. I’m getting pain in my shoulder as well. The surgeon who I saw said my body was still healing, but I’ve not had any pain for 4 weeks and now this

Hospital discharged me but surely ultrasound would show if something serious?

*Good Evening! I have also removed the gallbladder. Did you do an upper and lower abdomen ultrasound? If you did I think you are covered from there..The other thing you could do is an x-ray..Don’t worry so much especially since the doctors reassure you. They know more than us. I believe that the body needs some time to return to normal. If the blood is good and the inflammation index (crp) then I do not find cause for concern. Stay in touch with your doctor
