I've noticed I have most problems of all when using a dishcloth rubbing away stains on the stove, oven, sink, floor or whatver. My fingers become numb and sensitive. It's 8 days since I did a thorough cleaning in my apartment now and still my long finger fingertips are very sensistive. Swollen underneath, with enlarged visible blood vessels in blue. It affects many things, for instance typing.
Anyone else suffering from this after/during having cts?
Does not sound right, see your GP and surgeon.
I cannot tell from your post when you had surgery but if you have a bandage on these are symptoms of one that is too tight
Hi Ken, When did you have the op? Nerve endings take a long while to settle down. I suffered numbness in one of my fingers for about a year post op. I also had tingles in my hand, not badly, but they were there. Just weakness and sensitivity all round. It is now 18 months since my op and I am satisfied that all's well. However, bend my hand upwards for a long period of time (sleeping etc.) and my hand goes numb. But glad I had the op and all's feeling OK.
My cts surgery was 10 months ago. But observe: before i did the cleaning and rubbing in my apartment, I was fine. It's "just" that a couple of fingertips are swollen, sensitive and still pretty useless. Should I simply completely rest them? Since I just got bronchitis as well, I will this weekend at least. I have a feeling in the fingertips, but the pressure feeling is affected. If I should try to explain in other words: it feels like some hard stiff skin had grown on top of these 2-4 fingertips, but there are no visible new skin there. Do you follow me?
