Problems with ejaculation

I'm a man in my early fifties, and I've recently started to experience problems with ejaculation when masturbating (I'm currently between relationships, so have no idea whether this would also affect me during intercourse).

I am still producing semen as normal, but instead of ejaculating forcefully as before, it just dribbles out, with very little sensation. The problem suddenly came on a few weeks ago, and it has been this way ever since. Anybody know what's going on?

It may be due to BPH (have you had that checked?)  My urologist this week confirmed that reduced output can be due to older age.  I should stop tamulosin before encounters with my GF as tamulosin can cause output to cease. You might find the thread on Patient UK dealing with Tamulosin interesting

Yes, I have an enlarged prostate. My doctor diagnosed that some time ago. However, I am not on ant medication for the condition.

John, I would suggest that  you have your testosterone level checked by your urologist.

Low testosterone can cause less ejaculation for a male and also can cause a lower level of sensitivity during orgasms .  I have been on Testosterone treatment for several years and I feel it has been a very positive part of my sex life ..
