Prodrome Won’t Go Away

So 8 weeks ago I had sex with someone who I now know has herpes. Ever since I’ve been experiencing typical prodrome symptoms; no lesions or sores, just tingling. The symptoms have definitely eased over time, but when will they stop? I’ve read that an OB should only last at most 3 weeks, and for me it’s been 8. Can anyone help?

You should reduce stress and focus healthy foods with high lysine. As stress can last prodromal herpes symptoms, you need to avoid it. Besides, lysine foods will boost your immune system that fight off the symptoms. In cases they won't go away, antiviral medications are necessary. They can ease these symptoms and prevent herpes from occuring

I’ve been taking lysine for the past couple of weeks and it has definitely eased my symptoms; they use to be way worse. I think it’s time to try antivirals

I am experiencing the same symptoms as you, constant tinglings but no visible outbreak. Do you know what she has? 1 or 2?, it's weird because usually blister will come right after prodromes, but it's been going on for 7 weeks, i have no idea how to deal with it. How do you feel now? Any better?

It might come.  I got my first outbreak end of May.  3 weeks later I still had the itching, burning and tingling sensation and my second outbreak happened (wayyyy less severe but still).  Just got a third outbreak today which is almost 2 months from the first.  Where I live they won’t put you on suppression therapy until you’ve had 6 outbreaks in a year.  However they will give you for the initial.  Have you gone on them yet?  Lysine also helps and zinc.

I’ve seen 5 doctors so far since this post m, all it’s not herpes. The fifth doctor finally gave me a diagnosis of a Prostate infection. Talk to a urologist about your systems and read into prostate infections/prostatis
