At the moment you should be doing very little! I had a vaginal hysterectomy 18 months ago and felt fine from day one. No pain or discomfort. Thought I'd be back to normal in next to no time. Rested for the first week and then started short walks - all fine. At 2 weeks post op I twisted awkwardly to pull a plug from a socket behind a sofa and later that afternoon I had a really bad bleed. I think I had torn some stitches so had to rest for a couple of days. If you Google your procedure you will be surprised to see how much stitching there is. Did you have an anterior repair to your bladder? If you did, then the stitches will run right down your vagina to secure everything!!
Don't be tempted to overdo things. Try and find something you can do that's restful, like reading etc. I actually wrote a short novel in the 6 weeks after my op!

Mon chirurgien a dit 6 semaines de repos. Pas de ménage et ne soulevez rien de plus lourd qu'un carton de lait d'un demi-gallon. J'ai eu mon contrôle de 6 semaines et il m'a autorisé à faire un peu plus d'activité et a dit que je pourrais reprendre une activité normale avec précaution après trois autres semaines. Donc pour moi, la restriction a duré environ 9 semaines.
En raison des petites incisions, vous guérissez plus vite à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur.

Liz . believe me do nothing for the first 2/3 weeks. Listen to your body , if you over do it you will know about it. I had a TAH 10 weeks ago . Just went back to work this week . . One of my friends told me some advise. And it was . You get one chance.
Je suis surprise que vos documents de sortie ne l'aient pas précisé. Une hystérectomie vaginale est censée avoir une récupération plus courte que la norme de 6 semaines pour une hystérectomie abdominale. Mais comme vous avez également subi une réparation antérieure, je pense que 6 à 8 semaines seraient nécessaires. Les limitations de levage peuvent également être plus restrictives et il peut y avoir certaines restrictions de levage à vie, du moins c'est ce que certaines femmes ont rapporté. Avez-vous votre premier contrôle post-opératoire à venir ? Tout cela devrait être expliqué à ce moment-là.
I'm 6 weeks post op I had a total Vaginal Hysterectomy , I was able to return to work after 2 weeks ( office Manager ) so I don't really do any physical work. but No sex , lifting or bathing for 6 weeks.
just don't over do it just because you feel like you can, I also felt great from day one, it took the incision on top the longest to heal, it still has a small scab. the other 2 on the sides and the one in my belly button healed the 1st week.
just take it easy
