does this look normal or like a prolapse?
clearer pic!
Hi Mary, from experience, it does look like the start of a prolapse! Make an appointment to see your GP for advice. Good luck.
i have an appointment with my gyne on monday regarding heavy periods. what treatment is given to this type of prolapse do you know?
go see a doctor and stop posting genital photos i use to manage the sex offender program and there are so many weirdos out there getting off on this stuff you are not writing to professionals -
Jane i am well aware I am not writing to professionals. i am merely reaching out for advice, to anyone who has something similar . I am certainly not posting pictures for anyone to gain any pleasure and if they are disturbed enough to do so that says more about them than me. thank you
Hi Mary
this is similar to wot mine looked like. I had anterior posterior repair last year, my 2nd! Once the front or back wall of the vagina (or both) have collapsed down so u can see it at the entrance of the vagina I believe surgery is the only fix. my surgeon told me women who haven’t finished having babies can use a pessary, looks like a curtain ring, to keep the wall in place, but ultimately its surgery. super common op. dont worry, show ur doctor and get a referral, u will be ok. hugs ![]()
thank you for helpful reply. would the gynecologist be the correct dr to see? i am 42 so definitely finished having babies ha! what is the surgery called? thanks again !
hi Mary
yes I saw a gyno for my surgery. I had a cystocele and rectocele repair.
hi Mary
yes definitely looks like an an anterior and posterior prolapse.
best to be referred tk a Urogynacologist who specialises in pelvic floor reconstrution. these ops are very common but do have a risk of failure too so bear that in mind. they are not meant to last a lifetime un fortunately .
I’ve had a front wall repair and tvh due to prolapse which I’ve recovered fine from but my back wall is playing up so will tend to that going forward.
damm childbirth and getting older. im age 51, slim and otherwise healthy girl.
go see yiur gp and tell them yiur struggling and want a referral to a Urogynacologist.
good luck hunx
thank you, have you any idea of what grade it looks to be ? im wondering if i will even be offered surgery. i live in canada
Hi Mary
im in Australia not sure about Canada and I have private insurance so getting the op wasnt a problem. mine was a grade 2. I also know a lady with similar to me without insurance and she was approved for surgery just didn’t get choice of doctor and had 2 wait much longer than I did. as I say I have no idea wot its like in Canada. good luck u will be fine
I just had surgery for hemorrhoidectomy and had to wait 9 months, i am an anxious person so hope this isnt as long of a wait . i guess ill know more on monday after my appointment !
my friend whose a nurse in England showed consultant my pic, he said its only very mild and no treatment needed…
you could be offered a pessary or surgery. your gynaecologist will examine you and give you her professional opinion /advice. Let us know how you get on.
Hi Sandra, yes i will definitely update Monday i am very curious about what they will say needs to be done if anything
I’d say moderate Mary.. if its affecting your life then yiu should be offered surgery.
I lived in Calgary for years. gutted we ever left now Mary.
i live in Alberta, moved to Canada nearly 9 years ago. no desire to return to UK
that’s the regret we will always carry Mary. gutted to be back but now pr cards are run out.
