I had what the hospital described as a minor head injury in May of 2018 (almost three months ago). I feel that I've always experienced migraines, but they have become extremely severe and are just added to the list with many other symptoms including stomach pains that I can best describe as an unsettling, churning feeling, disorientation, heat sensitivity, fatigue, muscle weakness (particularly in my legs), and excessive sleeping during the day rather than the night.
About a month ago I saw my physician and he brushed it off as "a reaction to my birth control pill" which I have been on since January and been fine up until the concussion. I insisted that he took blood work, however, and he said that my levels were normal. I felt scrutinized because of my anxiety disorder, and think that he just is inferring that I'm overreacting. The symptoms are persisting and getting worse by the weeks.
The only controllable factor I could think of that might be inducing these awful periods where my quality of life is greatly detached and the only relief is sleep, could be that sometimes I forget to take my medication for a day (max ever 3 days) but this has happened before and hasn't caused me to feel nearly as sick as I do now! I am so frustrated.
Should I see a Urgent Care center for a fresh perspective? What do you guys think may be causing all of these weird changes, my head injury that the hospital labeled as "minor"?
