Prostate removed but PSA rising

Had my Prostate removed 3 years ago by Da Vinci procedure and report showed Cancer retained within Prostate and PSA remained at 0.1 for 2 years then it went to 0.3 and I was put on 3 month PSA tests, since then 0.6, 0.8, 1.6 and this time 2.5. Went down to Macmillan centre in London last August for special scan and nothing found. Can PSA levels come from anything other than the Prostate ?. Doctors just advising to wait and see, but am afraid it is causing me concern and I just seem to have gone through a lot and am getting nowhere. David

  1. You ask about PSA rising. Note cancer cells raise/make PSA;
  2. You wrote that the “special scan” showed nothing. Tell me: was it a 3T MRI or a PET/CT?
  3. Was the scan in (2) reported upon by an expert in prostate images or a “general” radiologist?
