I was wondering if there was anyone out there with both prostate cancer and chronic prostatitis who had a robotic prostatectomy performed on them. If so, was there any improvement in the prostatitis symptoms post surgery?
If you have a prostatectomy to remove all of your prostate you cannot have prostatitis. If the procedure only removes part of the prostate it is highly unlikely you would get prostatitis again
Yes. I had both. The prostatitis went away, (no more prostate) but I still have post surgery pain... swelling, groin pain etc.
