Psoas "exercises" and core walking

Hi all heres to the best day we can have along the way! I posted info about the Core Walking programme and the free pdf on the internet called Psoas Release Party,an excellant read! However, I neglected to say -the exercises at the end can not be done by all or can not all be done by all AND you should always run it by ur surgeon / pt person.My surgeon told me of this Core walking programme BUT as I am 2 weeks post op I am NOT to be doing these exercises. I am even to back off of PT and walk ice rest walk ice rest. However,I was told that as I am reading and learning about this -that even THINKING of it -like looking at an exercise and thinking it will neuro transmit messages to that area of the body. So yea learn, think about it and tty Dr before engaging in this or any programme -ya know that but its worth saying.Have a great day all!

Am 7 weeks out.

had a good read through the core walking programme.

am yet to fully digest the standing stuff, but the basic walking premise of leaning slightly forward is working already.

it is really helping with backache. I def couldn't have done this earlier as my operated leg wasn't strong enough to near the weight confidently. Am only doing short bursts of walking, and doing this consciously. Essentially "in training" , and it feels good.

def worth taking a look.

and if rocketmans is reading this, then it's worth a mention on your website.

Meg, I'm only on page 22 of 82 (and it's almost bedtime for Little Jonny), but the Psoas Release Party pdf is blowing my mind. thank you for sharing!

Agreed, it's very interesting.

core excerises and pilates helped me enourmously - originally for my back as i have arthritis there also - i go to a pilates class run by post op physios and it needs to be taught by professionals !   you can start very gently - there is a dvd/video - APPI Pilates - Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI).  this was recommedned by my teachers -
