Hello to all, I was due having a face to face session with a health councillor next week, this has been cancelled due to the covid 19 virus, I now have to have a interview over the phone.
I already suffer with anxiety and depression so not looking forward to this at all as im not the best at talking to some person who I cannot physically see and to explain my PTSD.
Has anybody else experienced anything like this and if so what are they going to ask me as I truly am worried about it.
kind Thanks, Graham
My doctors have started using video phone calls. You could ask about that.
My son is having all his appointments over the phone now and says in some ways it’s better as he tends to open up a bit more.
Try putting the phone on speaker if you can and sit back and close your eyes, this way it will feel more like a face to face.
As your therapist knows what PTSD is so therefore will understand how it’s mostly effecting you.
I wish my cancelled appointment could have be done over the phone but sadly they haven’t yet managed to do hip replacement over the phone ![]()
Hope you are managing to get through this isolation
Take care
Thank you for reply, fortunately I’ve had both of my hips done and this has contributed a little bit to where I am now.
Hopefully it will go ok, I will post my experience for others who may have concerns
That actually may be better for me, I’ll see how it goes but I will mention about doing it by video streaming.
Thank you.
Yes would be good to hear from you how things go xx
I will, thanks again
Hi,
Make a list of everything you want to ask, start now then, when you think of a question write it down. Even with a phone or video consultation, we still get flustered and forget to ask our questions.
thanks jen it’s funny you should mention this as I’ve been looking back in my diaries taking in dates, times, where etc,
I will post my experience on here when ive had my interview this Thursday coming, not looking forward to it one bit.
