I am almost 14 weeks post op TKR. While sitting in my recliner with knee bent, I noticed my leg pulsating in different places from ankle all the way up to under the knee. I can't feel it but it looks really weird like something moving under the skin. I am thinking it is probably nerves trying to reconnect. Can any one relate to this oddity?
Ooh er Dolores, that sounds really creepy. I never had anything like that, but have had some strange feelings in the surrounding tissues which I thought was nerves etc reconnecting?? Felt at one time almost like someone was brushing my leg with a feather! Seems to have gone now!

You know Marilyn, I just realized it is both of my legs doing this. Going to the Dr. on Thursday maybe I have a problem with my arteries. So weird!
Marilyn, I went to Urgent Care a little while ago. I had myself convinced it was a blood clot or leg aneurism. The internet gets you crazy, the Dr. assured me it was nothing serious. He said I had good circulation and good color of my legs. There was also no swelling. Of course could not explain why I have the pulsating. ThanksIt wasn't even doing it that much like home.....figures! I go to my regular Dr. on Thursday and will let him check also.

At least they have put your mind st rest at urgent care.
Maybe get some answers at your GP.

Truly, no idea on this (hope you didn't watch the film 'Alien' LOL!) but I'm wondering if it's like the twitch where a muscle pulsates when we're tired. So could be the muscles mending after the op???? That's a very wild guess though!
