Constant pvc's driving me insane. Is this normal??? Doctor's ecg showed normal also showing pvc's they said its all fine. Due to anxiety. Even when I dont feel anxious it happens. Any advise im in a vicious circle and cant get out....
hi steph, i think everyone who has or does suffer from anxiety , will get pvc,s at some time .., but doctors will tell you it is due to anxiety or stress, its not a nice thing to get , but i dont think it will harm you physically, i know its easy saying this,, but try not to worry or panic. and your not alone.
Yes it's normal When we are anxious our bodies remain in this stage of resistance, ready to react to a fight-or-flight response at any moment. Hormones like adrenalin and cortisol keep being released to keep us prepared so this is possibly why you are having PVCs right now even though you don't feel anxious. Your body thinks it has to be prepared for something.
Hi
I started suffering from PVC's when was about 20. Although they are generally benign I found the stress and anxiety attacks crippling and living with them was intolerable. Having people telling you that you are okay really doesn't help does it ?
I am now 46 and have been taking atenolol for over 20 years, now married with 3 lovely boys and have been living PVC free, no symptoms what so ever.
Last month I came off the tablets for a few weeks but the PVC's returned within days. Back on atenolol now and everything is back to normal. Many people want to fight these symptoms, but it is not worth it. Beta Blockers have made a huge difference for me and I am resigned to taking them for the rest of my days.
regards
G
