Question about dizziness and propranolol

Could someone please help me. I've been on the 10 mg of propranolol for eight or nine days now and I've noticed yesterday dizziness and today dizziness especially when I'm up moving around. I read the side effects dizziness is one of them is it just your body having to get used to the medication? I've also over the past three or four days when I am sleeping I have to get up and run to the bathroom with diarrhea and nausea during the day is this normal with this medication? Since I had that bad spending episode on Friday night I've been and anxious mess and worried that the propranolol is causing all kinds of problems. So if anyone can help I would really appreciate it, thank you

Those are some of the side effects listed. Call docs office see if there's anything they can do. they can give you nausea meds but I found them to be very very constipating.

Thank you for replying. Do you take propranolol? I'm so afraid of meds but when I decided to try this I had such hope because most people have no problems on it. From what I've read and my son inlaw who is in the medical field has told me it's the body getting used to it. I guess some of the problem with me is I think side effects would be the first day not on the 7 or 8th day. Thus migraine associated vertigo is a crazy disorder it really isn't a stable think. Coz the dizziness just comes when it wants. I can feel fine all day then bam get hit the same night or spells throughout the day. I hate it

Hi Patty

I have been taking 1/2 a pill of propranolol for a few months now and didn't experience any side affects . You should call your doctor see if something else is causing your symptoms.

I know all of this is difficult and easier said than done, but try to relax .

I went on a website for VRT exercises and am doing some of them slowly And Not Pushing it By Over Doing It. It has help calm me down and it helps with the spinning and off balance feeling.

I hope you feel Better. 🌻

I am in the middle of testing again. Was told bppv first time ,ten years ago. Since then symptoms have gotten way worse. Left ear down to 30percent responsive to vestibular stimulation. No meds sept diazepam. And it's not helping much anymore. Started therapy but it's not helping much either. Waiting for app with neurologist. I looked that med your on up. Said side affects you are having. Was surprised all the things they treat with that med.

Good Morning From San Diego Ca.

You have been extremely helpful when I have Felt Scared And Was Falling Apart With My Symptoms.

I Hope You Start To Feel Better And Your Next Appointment Goes Well.

This whole thing that we as all go through is so frustrating.

Wishing You A Good Day ☀

It helps to talk sometimes. Noone I know has this. I found out family members had this and never spoke of it. Would have saved me a few bux if i knew it ran in my family. It's a tough thing to deal with. Both mentally and financially. Cost me my life's savings and probably my job. I been told to tell my bosses when I came back to work this week. I can't get to the end of my driveway. Lol. Getting into docs offices is almost impossible. Specialists are booked 3 months ahead or more. I am glad I could be a little help to you. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Hi Angie

Where did you find these VRT exercises - i am thinking I ought to do some too - do you think they are helping your off-balance?   PM me if you feel you cannot name the website on here - I would appreciate it very much if you do not mind telling me.

Hi Barnie

We're you able to find them?

Hi Angie - No I was waiting for you to give me the name of the site you found?  Have I missed something?

Oh I sent you a message 😀

Just the in

Home Vestibular Exercises

Sorry this auto spelling is crazy.

I meant Just Type In:

Get your blood pressure checked ASAP. I was given propranol and the worst it did to me was drop my blood pressure to 80/50. I almost passed out. Check your blood pressure.

Thanks Angie - just checked messages and not in there but will type in Home Vestibular Exercises - have you found that it has made a difference to you - mine is more of an off balance and not dizzyness

I've been checking it, it was 100/73.

I've read nausea, headache and diarrhea are side effects. I just thought the they would be the first day, but I guess they can come days after starting it. I've had these for abou 4-5 days and been in the 10mgs for 9 days. I will be chwcking with my doc tomorrow. Thanks for replying
