so me and my partner have been dating for 3-4 months now and only a week ago we both got herpes. he had blisters on his genitals and i had on mine. to be honest we are loyal partners so i dont know how could we have gotten it and i am very confused :( i have read that you can get and not have symptoms and one of my previous partner did have some sores but its been like 9 months.. please help
ye u can have it from years ago and not get sores or blisters
So there is no exact way to pin point who transmitted it.
It could have been from you and previous partners.
Or from your new partner from their previous partners.
Most people with herpes live with it asymptotically. Testing is not provided with all screens so most people don’t even realise they are not being tested.
Sorry to here about your diagnosis. Obviously it’s a hard time for both of you but no one is to blame.
