Question haemorrhoid aftermath

9 days ago I’ve had the great pleasure of having a haemorrhoidectomy (after 3 failed bandings). Just a brief heads up for anyone who is yet to have one: the first days were indeed a hell but it is getting better already. As a 30 year old man I was literally crying after a bowel movement in the beginning days and I am used to quite intensive pain levels, including some challenging combat sports related injuries. I will try to write a longer report of my experiences later on.

In the meanwhile however I have a pressing question. After having bowel movements, I have a full feeling. I know some swellings are quite normal, but in my case it really is mainly activated after going to the toilet. Of course, my great anxiety decided to compare the feeling of going to the toilet when I actually did have them. Is this feeling normal/common (e.g. caused by pressure on the wounds) or is there a risk of having them back already?! The good news is that at least I am sure it are not external ones…

Could someone please tell me? It makes me really nervous, as it feels like I’ve went through this “great pleasure” for nothing :frowning:
