Question regarding laparoscopic hysterectomy

I just started my period today and I go in for my surgery on tues may 1st 

Will I still be okay getting it done?

Will it cause any complications? 

Oh, I’m freaking out! 

Any info will help.

My guess they may still do it, if they still do Pap smears, transvaginal ultra sounds and blood work while we are bleeding. I hope they do. Praying all goes well with U. Stay strong.

I had laprascopic abdo hysterectomy, the morning of surgery I started a period, operation went ahead no problems x good luck x

I understand your freaking out. 

I’ve had do many GYN procedures. The thing is that I don’t remember whether they will proceed or postpone.

Are you having this done vaginally?

I’m getting it Laparoscopic, I’m just a little worried because I’m on blood thinners so my bleeding is heavy while on my period but I stopped my thinners today so I’m probably just overthinking the whole thing.
