QUESTION!!!!!!

A friend of mine has tested equivocal for Herpes 2. He said he hasn’t experienced any lesions, breakouts or the other herpes symptoms. However, he did tell me he has been feeling a liquid, watery like come out from his genital from time to time, he could feel it in his briefs but when he checks there’s no color mark there. Does equivocal means he technically has it even though he has no symptoms? Please, your response will be highly appreciated!

Many Herpes positive people ( claim) experiencing no symptoms and will report that to their Doctors . I personally do not believe that and it is either they have experienced classic or even maybe mild symptoms in the past to which they have decided to think it was a rash or something else and have never checked it up with a doctor
or they lie about not experiencing any symptoms so they do not get in trouble if they have infected their partners.

He is either HSV1 or 2 positive or negative. Simple as that. All he needs is an IGG blood test for that.
People infected with HSV1 or 2 can still transmit the virus and will be carriers for life even when there is no symptoms present. In fact Most people got infected from their partners when there were no symptoms because if there were they will refrain from having sex or their partners might be in pain.

can that equivocal rating of 0.9 increase or decrease during the time he’s waiting to get retested?
