just after other peoples experience. around 8 years ago i had an irritated vagina, the doctor looked and said it was herpes however all my tests results came back negative. in the last few years I have been through alot that would usually trigger herpes such as failed pregnancies, chemo, surgeries, accutane medication etc. and I have never seen any issues arise with the "herpes" in that 8 years like I never actually had it. my blood tests results after the initial tests have always been negative aswell, even 4 weeks ago it was negative. however i recently started seeing someone new and the 2 times we have slept together (weeks apart) almost immediatly the day after my vagina is irritated and feels like I have split below the opening and then i noticed one sore. my questions are, is it possible sleeping with someone else with herpes could have activated this or brought it back randomly after 8 years? or has anyone had similar where they havent had any signs of herpes for 8 years but then a new sexual partner seems to bring it on? maybe I just contracted it off him?
