Can you tell how long you have had herpes from your igg numbers ?
Only very slightly. If you have a positive swab for herpes but negative IgG, then it's a brand new infection. If the IgG is already a high positive, then you've had it for over 3 months, but beyond that it's impossible to further elaborate.
My IGG is 6.84
Is it combined or does it say it's for HSV1 or HSV2? I suspect it's combined, in which case it's not very useful. Could just be that you carry HSV1 orally like many people. You need to do the separate IgG tests.
