P.s can't private message you, you must have disabled it? Xx

Hiya David, you're not alone mate, there are lots of people around to help ya so chin up. I took Zopiclone and it was brilliant as a sleeping pill, not too addictive and makes you calm and it's my guess that you'll feel great on just this drug, at least for a few hours so maybe calm yourself with it for a night before taking the quetiapine tomorrow. I had the Quet' and didn't get on with it but others do, we're all different and the experts don't understand which drug is good for a particular person, it's trial and error. Good luck, I know EXACTLY how you feel but you WILL look back on this and be ok at the time you do.

hi keni. im trying to be positive but as always you get bad days as you know ! regards the zopiclone i hate the fecking stuff as they put my wife on it and waited to long before deciding she had been on it for a long time now everytime she asks for any they always attach a note to try and cut down on them to fxcking late she really.struggles to sleep with out them thanks doctor !thanks for your advise tale care david

think i am going to wait till tomorrow to start taking the quetiapine, I have just had to take a paracetamol for stomach pains, do you know if it's still ok to take the zopiclone? X

Can't see why not, is there a pharmacy open somewhere late? The Pharmacist will be able to tell you. They are really good people to ask advice and ofte know more about the drugs than the GP's. Google late or all night pharmacies, if not first thing in the morning.

I just googled 24 hour pharmacies and there are loads of 'em all over the place, call up and ask to speak to the pharmacist.

my experience with Zopiclone (another name is Zimovane) didn't go on too long and if it is used sparingly, i.e. not every night for months or more, I reckon it's ok, how long was your wife taking it? For me taking it every night for a couple of weeks was fine ... it isn't a benzodiazepine so isn't so addictive but is still able to eventually cause addiction....just use now and again.

It will almost certainly calm you down but go to sleep straight away with it. You won't be scared, trust me, if the doctor prescribed it then he/ she believes you'll be ok with it so relax and take the prescribed dose.

forget that bit about the wife, I copied and pasted another reply, this bit not meant for you!

I take 300mg a night to control OCD based anxiety and generally improve sleep. It takes a while before you see the full effects. My answer would be that everyone is different, but the only ill side effects Ive experienced is a slight (but controllable) tremor. Hope Ive helped. If you read the data sheet it should tell you common, uncommon and rare and very rare side effects. Do not let the rare ones scare you. If one patient experiences said side effect the drugs companies have a legal obligation to list it.

thank you for your replies, I called the nhs helpline and due to other complications Regarding my stomach pains i now have to wait up to 2 hours for a doctor to call me back so looks like I'm not going to sleep after all, oh well guess there's always tomorrow sad x

Thank you again xx
