Oh bless you. Have you got someone to take care of you? If not, take extra care of yourself for a few days. Lots of rest, hot water bottles or heat pads, painkillers as & when. If you can manage to get in and out of the bath, magnesium flakes or Epsom salts can help. Gentle hugs. Jeanne xx

Hi there, HOTpicks99

I really sympathise with you. This fibro business is so unpredictable. some days, such as now, I feel like a fit 30 year old. (I'm 64) then totally and without warning I can be reduced to a pain racked whimpering wreck. Monday and Tuesday I took far more than my allowance of analgesia, but to no effect. 2 days of agony and misery. Then, peace. The devil leaves me and all is well once more. You can never predict the arrival of this plague. Many years of experimenting has taught me that there is nothing you do or don't do, eat or omit or behave in a certain manner that can predict the course of this menace. It's like an alien force that occupies your body and mind!! I hope you feel better soon. Angie xx

Hi Angela, I'm 56, and I NEVER feel like a fit 30 year old! What are you taking and where do I get it? Jeanne xx

Hi Jeanne, just got your email. Yes it's true. There are golden days when I feel really fit and full of enthusiasm. However this usually wears off about 3 pm when I revert to my 64year old arthritic self. I used to be very athletic and engaged in many challenging sports and jobs. I can only assume that some of this previous energy lies dormant and shows occasionly. I am retired, do a lot of yoga, and eat a paleolithic style of diet. I enjoy a good bit of wine and occasional cigarette. I just think that fibromyalgia is as individual as the person it invades! Best to enjoy each day, live, laugh and love. Keep well!  Angie xx

Hi Angie, I think you are quite right, and I do my best to follow that way. Jeanne xx
