Has anyone been using Orencia (abacet) ? My rheumatologist wants me to go on it with a small does of methotrexate. I was on Meth. for over 20 years but it has stopped working. I'm in a lot of pain and starting to feel some depression.
I have been on orencia for almost a month (4 shots) . I have not noticed any difference yet but of course they say it can take 3 months. Good luck
Is Orencia one of the biologics?
I am on Rituximab. So far so good, but not much change yet after two shots over one month.
You should do well on it if you're in pain.
I was on it about 5 yrs. ago & it worked well but was diagnosed with skin cancer so took me off it. They have since found that the cancer was not related to the Orencia so going to try me on it again along with a small dose of metheotrxate . I will be having a weekly injection. Keeping my fingures crossed that it works.
Yes it is a biologic. I have a lot of lung damage and can't take other biologics so really hoping it works for me.
