Racing heart in the morning?

my anxiety has been so high lately that im losing sleep, and waking up with a racing heart in a panic as if im late for an important meeting. this episode of a racing heart in the morning is new for me but im sure its not unusual considering my stress load. does this also happen to anyone else?

Do you have any medication for your anxiety? If you do, if you have a benzo specifically, then take it right before bed. You will sleep like a baby. Also, in the vitamin aisle at most pharmacies you can get a vitamin called Melatonin, it may also help you sleep.

not so much a racing heart but I wake up shaking inside, and I know my first thoughts are how do I feel, I know I’m scared of starting each day so you’re not alone x

racing heart especially in the morning is one of the most common symptoms of anxiety. The adrenaline has a chance to build up overnight. So in the morning this can happen. One thing to know is that this racing heart will not hurt you at all. The adrenaline will eventually wear off. millions of people have this happen to them.
one thing that has always helped me with this is proper breathing for anxiety which you can find on YouTube.

Hi is this available in any pharmacy in UK or elsewhere? Melatonin? Without prescription? If yes could you please tell me in which one i can get it from.

i am in America so its hard to say, but melatonin is available at any pharmacy here without a prescription. Its in with the other vitamins.

ive heard about melatonin my cousin takes it every night i was just always scared of side effects or intense dreams

yes its like this nervous feeling as soon as i wake up! its awful. its also hard to breathe slowly when it happens

its always so hard to breathe properly when this happens and then it makes me really start to panic.

I have had this, It lasted a month or so..I started upping my magnesium intake in my diet and it seemed to get better. It could have been a coincidence, but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

yeah I’m exactly the same, 3 months I’ve been like it now. its started to go quicker now though because I realise it’s from worrying, try and wake up and tell yourself straight away you’re ok and take your time getting up. x
