Some background details:
I am 16 year old female and was found to have a raised ALT that should be 44 but was at 150 in November 2016. Since then i saw a doctor, who told me it was because i was fat, i have lost a stone since my last appoinment with him, but my ultrasound result didn't reveal a unhealthy liver. My bloods gurantee i haven't got hepatitis. I had another test to monitor the ALT, which rose to severe at 255, a fortnight later i had another test, which revealed 255 again.
So i am currently experienceing pains in the top left and right of my abdomen and the right side of my upper back. these pains are daily occurences and can vary from short sharp stabbing to short throbbing pains. I am confused to what the cause is as ultrasound doesn't appear to signify anything severe and my blood tests came back normal apart from the raised ALT. My mum does have a tumour that may be heditary on her kidney gland. As a result i was supposed to have a CT scan, however this did not go ahead.
I wanted to know if anyone has experienced this or knows any possible causes as i cannot be prescribed any medication for my anxiety and derpression or my polycysic ovaries until i have had an all clear from my liver doctor. I am frustrated and just need reassurance if anyone knows anything it could be other than a possible heditary tumour, as my doctor isn't the best (he didn't know what a stretch mark was!)
