Hi everyone, I'm needing some advice. Lately I'm in a lot of pain getting on and off the toilet in work. What I need is a toilet seat raiser. Work are willing to purchase one for me but I need one that I can take off when I'm not using it. Can anyone suggest any products, by the way I'm in the UK!
I know they make them. My mom has one its made of thick plastic. I am in us. Try searching the internet or calling a pharmacy. Good luck.
what about asking work to purchase a frame that goes round the toilet so wont interfere with anyone else....I bought one from ebay ...did have a seat too but the frame makes a big difference ..I've left mine in place even though I dont really need it....whereabout are you?
search ebay under toilet frame..theres loads..from £10!
Hi Chrissy
Another thought.....what about asking the occupational therapist advice.....I dont expect her to supply one necessarily but maybe some advice on how/where to get them

Where abouts are you in the uk? I have 2 that my hospital gave me and don't want them back, I've washed and disenfected them and would be very willing to post one to you? I'm in the West Midlands, they are plastic and you push them on and just tighten the screw, very simple and quick x
Hi Chrissy.
The ones that the do now you can remove them off the main toilet seat, they are heavy plastic they have two plastic screwe like attment that you can screw to the main toilet seat. am sure you can buy them on line or ask the hospital where you had your opp. I got mines from the Hospital where i had my opp.
Good Luck.
Hi Chrissy there is a toilet raiser 4inch they are a plastic ones and also some thick sponge ones with a plastic cover and Velcro so you can take it off very easy you can get a proper bag that you carry it and put it when not in use, if you any mobility shops near you they will be able to help you, I work in a mobility shop i hope this helps you good luck x
Hi Chrissy
I got a portable one off ebay you just put it on and take off when finished no screwing
Easier than one hospital gave me
Hi Glendale, do you know the product name? As I have to give it to work but it has to be one that I can remove so others can use the toilet. I've tried reading through some of them online but they don't say specifically how you attach and remove them. A Velcro one sounds good, is that the one called East fit, as there's another one called Nouvelle clip on. I just don't want to give work the wrong product name and they then order it and it's not easily removed. I am still pre op and need bi lateral hip replacements but I am very tall and getting spasms getting on and off even on the disabled toilet. Think I just need that bit more height.
Stupid predictive text... Should be Glendale, I'm so sorry x
Haha done it again... GLENDA
Thanks A lot Jackie but it can't be one that I screw on, it has to be removed everytime I've used it... But thank you so much xx
Thanks Eileen, I just need the name of a removable one xx

Hi Chrissy
Type in "toilet seats for disabled" on Amazon UK and they have a big selection including the foam/velcro one mentioned by Glenda. Also gives name of suppliers!
