Hi, I have been on Ramipril for about three years due to my high blood pressure.
My hair over the past three years has become very, very thin on top... I'm only thirty and to be loosing so much hair is very depressing - I have been advised to stop Ramipril as it can cause hair loss - Has Anyone else had this problem???

I would stop taking them and ask your doctor for something else....
also...there is something from the chemist you can take for thinning hair......cant think what its called.....its quite expensive but apparantly really works.......maybe get it on prescription?
I used to take a multivitamin B {I think B6 is good for hair} and my hair was very thick...
i,m on Ramapril...if mine starts thinning,I will definitely stop taking it
there must be an alternative?

I have used Regaine for thinning hair - but it didn't help - but I was taking Ramipril, so it wouldn't have helped! I will try again -

I am not enjoying ramipril (1.25mg). The worst effect is significant hair loss and very dry scalp on top. I am sure it is because of ramipril which I started 3 weeks ago. I'm back to the doctor tomorrow - also my BP hasn't changed and I have felt low in mood!.
