Been taking ramipril 5mg for a year. And also bendroflumethazide I have acid reflux daily and a dry tickling cough at night. Is this caused by the tablets does anyone know.
Ramipril can for sure. I have taken myself off it as the cough bacame pretty persistent. Took about 8 weeks to cure it too. Suggest you revisit your GP. It's a common side effect. Not sure about the other medication though.
Also have acid reflux since taking the tablets. So much that I take over the counter remedies 6 to 8 times daily.
I was on Ramipril for a couple of months until the cough became too much. I have been on Candesartan for 5 weeks now and the cough, although still with me, is definitely improving. I don't know about the acid reflux, though. Best see your GP.
My cough got so bad I thought I was dying until I found this forum and realised it was the Ramipril. My doctor was no help at all. Within 2 weeks of coming off Ramipril the almost constant cough that stopped me sleeping at night was all but gone.
