Ran for a bus today!

small steps No 451.

Saw bus, thought 'no i can't run' then 'hey I'm 6 months post op and maybe I can so'  -

and I ran 50 metres easily and caught the bus easy too. different for gym, and very good so wanted to share!

Well done you! Still in the pre-op stage, I cannot imagine being able to run. It must feel amazing. I guess that the learned behaviour of pre-op living must take a while to suppress.

Good for you....

I was told not to run, maybe I'll try, I'm 4 1/2 months post-op.

Running is not a word im familiar with either here or in my life lol well done. Its an inspiration

That's great!

Well done, my left hip is too painful to do that even though it was rthp I had done, hopefully it will be Nov or dec, me thinks a case up phone call again lol

Wehey Mic well done. I've been wondering if I dare to try a little run for a while. Feel almost back to normal now. Squatting, kneeling, down on haunches etc like we discussed before   Maybe I will try a run when it stops raining. We will soon be SEVEN months post op!!!!!!!

Hi Angela

Good to hear from you...

Yes...pre programmed learned responses from my body are still so strong it's really a challenge to face theM down.

I'm happy with red line no no decisions like no bungie jumps ever post op...but simple run for a bus, crouching, riding a bike, walking 10 miles...All these are challenges as healing continues 6 moths to a year.

Good luck!

Hey Catrin,

are are twins here maybe, Feb 29 was my H day!

Still can't crouch easily; can sit on haunches only with rubber pad in the middle , and yes, I can jog and run. And knee easily: little by little!

little by little - apparently it all takes a full 12 months to revover

Haha. Funny you should mention twins I'm the only non twin in our house!!! I was February 27th. Kneeling and hainches etc come with practice. Pilates is great and doing the static bike. I'm soooooo much stronger all over than pre op.

Fantastic achievement . Well done 🍷
