Hi. I'll start off by saying that my medical record has never really been troubled but around 2 years ago I started to get a blocked nose, which never went and although with treatment it is somewhat improving, it has caused all sorts of problems. Around that same time, I began having these random bursts of adrenaline and fear rush through me for no reason at all - I can remember the exact day and moment it all started, as I was watching a football match (and had just come back from the gym so was very tired) and then when a player went to kick the ball, for no reason I would get a slight burst of adrenaline rush through my body and I would gasp.
I became really annoyed when this would not stop so tried to go to sleep, where at random, I would be struck with a bolt of fear, and jerk up gasping. It is very hard to describe but over time this has developed and still occurs when I am tired - I randomly get these bolts of terror and rather than being bodily jerks, it feels like they start in my head and this puts me in a constantly jittery state of anticipation and anxiety. It occurs more often in certain rooms and is worse in bright rooms or when I am tired, and in my eyes I get as if something is too close to my eyes and I have to recoil back, the sensation is very weird and I lose all function to operate properly and it feels like my brain is scrambled . Usually these jerks only lasted for about half a second, yet once, one of them did not stop and turned out to be a full blown panic attack and only since then did I get separate panic attacks. I'm not too sure how anxiety related this is and it is a very weird sensation but has lead to severe difficulty sleeping so any help would be appreciated.
