Randomly Brought on Anxiety and Depression

Hello,

Please bare with as this may be long.

For around 2 months now I have been suffering everyday with Anxiety and depression. It all started with minor heart palpitations, which progressed to dizziness, tingling and pins and needles, severe fatigue and now crying everyday, feeling hopeless and low. I find it hard to stay in work without crying or having a breakdown. For the first month I slowly found myself to start to find coping mechanisms, however I came on my period and everything came crashing down and I have been on my lowest week so far. I find it hard to concentrate, my memory has gotten worse and I find myself getting anxiety over anything. It is really destroying my confidence. I also find it hard to stay asleep in the mornings and find myself waking at around 7am everyday. I cannot understand why this has happened as I am not sad/worried/depressed for any reason. I have a good job, family, social life.

I have been to the doctors and they have found from a blood test results I am deficient in Vitamin B12, Iron and Vitamin D, aswell as showing High Prolactin levels. I have been prescribed Ferrous Sulfate and Vitamin D3, however I feel they make me feel worse. I also came off the pill to try and see if that made me feel any better, (Around a few days after my symptoms started). I also undertake CBT and Mindfullness off a Mental Health practioner but I find it is no help.

Has anyone suffered from similar experience and have any recommendations as to how I can get better as I am slowly giving up hope.

have you thought about anxiety medication?

i was having heart palpitations and it just got worse for me, i found it hard to cope with them. i know they are anxiety but my brain thinks they will hurt me.
i had a session of cbt and they said the body is the unconscious mind, we may not be thinking about it all but our bodies are reacting as if something is wrong which makes is think about it all more.

i didnt want to go on medication but i did and for me it was the best thing i could have done. weigh up your options and do what is right for you, if its affecting your work then you need to be doing something about it.

i hope you start to feel better soon! the vitamins and iron will definitely help you feel more awake and energised

i have diagnosis of GaD AND ON DIAZEPAM BUT AM FEELING TERRIBLE! five years now and i wake feeling brain mad, is this a sign of the diazepam or have i got something else. was it diazepam they gave you.
