Hello im 15 and have a mild case of shingles on my side. I was told to take 5 Aciclovir 800mg tablets a day for a week however most days i only managed to take 3/4 tablets. Its been over the course now and the rash has almost gone but is still there mildy. Should i continue taking these tablets until i run out? should i just leave it alone? or should i go back to the doctor???

This is a very serious complaint that can easily lead to years of suffering with Post Herpetic Neuralgia that lasts for many years. It is extremely important to get the full anti-viral treatment, and even more if needed.
It is much better to overdue the treatment, than take the alternative.

Some remnant of the rash can last weeks or months, that's normal. Just leave it alone. However, I agree with the others, you need to take all of the meds. If you don't you could have a much worse situation. I'm glad that it seems the anti-virals have been helping. Without them, you can get intense pain and other symptoms. You must have caught it quickly enough.
I would take all of the meds as doc recommended,u don’t want to get a relapse
