I've had a red, moist rash for about 5 months now between my scrotum and penis. I initially tried antifungals thinking it was jock itch. They worked minimally, and i followed up with two separate dermatologist who had me try various steroid creams and even VTAMA (a psoriasis topical). they all seem to aggravate it. being in the area its in, obviously heat and friction are aggravating.
The only things I've found beneficial are Lotrimin and unscented moisturizer, but it never completely goes away. Ive used different antifungals for weeks consistently to be sure too. Ive also changed all my boxer briefs to cotton, wash with all natural dr bronners soap, and use unscented natural detergent.
I have no other spots on my body, and no history of eczema or psoriasis myself or in my family. I follow a paleo diet, but I have noticed if i break my diet it definitely impacts it. I'm really starting to get nervous this isn't just fungal or irritation. The possibility of it being inverse psoriasis scares me.
A biopsy is the next step, but id really like to avoid it if I. Has anyone had something like this in a similar spot? Or does anyone have genital inverse psoriasis that looks like this?
*I already keeps things as dry as possible and have tried multiple different antifungals. I've really done my due diligence with research on possible causes and treatments along with seeing two separate derms
