Brandon, this site recently had an upgrade - the unfortunate thing is that your message has not formatted correctly. I too have had foreskin and penile issues from my childhood … if you have images you want to show you need to upload them directly into your discussion text box - you can either use the icon to the right of the eye symbol in a new reply box, or simply drag and drop them I believe …
I’ve edited and fixed the discussion and noted this as a bug to report to the developers.
Regards,
Alan
Thanks for letting me know and for the email, that was really helpful!
Brandon, now I can actually see the images the 4th image shows that your penis is certainly not in a happy state. As you suggest, it could be the result of a yeast infection. Unfortunately the vagina is too often an ideal breeding ground for bacteria to grow - however, the possibility is that it has not been that at all. So we need to look at what is happening with you …
Certainly taking a break from you masturbating or having sex will help a great deal: obviously there lots of other ways to pleasure your partner, so she does not have to loose out because of this.
So, lets take things in order that YOU need to sort them out: " My penis tip .. sometimes stings after peeing " - you may have a UTI yourself, or a condition such as Prostatitis or Urethritis - so you need to get a Medical Professional to help you get to the bottom of what is causing this. If you feel the Doctor has not helped try going to a Specialist Sexual Health Service, deal with this issue first, then you can also mention what else is going on …
So, what has caused the raw-redness of appearance in the 4th picture? it could of course be linked to the issue we have just spoken of, or, it may be something totally separate. What you may have is an actual skin condition, it would certainly be described as Balanitis as it it now, but you MAY have one of the more severe forms such as Lichen Sclerosus - or again, a severe Dermatological reaction going on. I wonder if you use condoms for sexual intercourse? Until we, with the help of Medical Professionals can start to tease-apart and treat what you actually have - whether one thing, or a combination of different conditions - the better the outcome will be for you ..
In the mean time take a look at the Penile Hygiene details I will add to the bottom of this response and try to put in place as much of what it is I specify - the details are not aimed at you specifically, but is general advice. Once you have a ‘squeaky clean’ hygiene regime in place we can then see whether this in itself has dealt with some of what you have going on in itself!
You also say - " i’ve had foreskin/penis problems since i’ve been a kid " - what were these and do you think you are dealing with in terms of the consequences of this / these now?
Penile Hygiene Regime to Combat Penile Problems
The best approach is not to use ANY SOAP on the Glans / Tip - wash with water only EVERY time you have urinated, after sexual arousal, and ejaculation. If you are not circumcised, protect the Glans of your penis every time you take a shower by drawing the foreskin as far forward as you can, then wash everywhere else, thoroughly rinse off all the gels / shampoo and suchlike, then expose your glans wash it with the water only using the inside of your hand, then each time you have washed it you must make sure it is 100% dry immediately afterwards.
After you have put this in place and you still have the situation going on you need to look at what else your penis is coming into contact with on a fairly regular basis. The likely suspects are:-
- any chemical compounds such as skin cream / lotions, baby oil, oil based lubes, chemicals inside condoms (e.g. easy-on and spermicides) you need to exclude these one by one to discover the culprit, the easiest approach is to exclude everything to start with, then once things are on the mend, introduce each individual item to discover what has caused this in the first place.
- if non of these make any difference you need to look to things such as washing powder in which you wash your clothes, and underwear in, in particular. The simple alternative to washing powder is Liquid Soap Flakes, most sizeable supermarkets stock this in their own brand names - and you use this in your washing machine instead of powders or ANY fabric conditioner type additives.
Hi! Thank you for responding! I’ve been having no pain while urination only afterwards…I’ve been having almost like an ache or a tingling and the pain is probably a 4/10. It isn’t in a happy state and I am trying to take a break from any form of sex. I Tried to make a doctors appointment today but he is on vacation so I will try the local clinic after work. Yeah I myself think it is a skin condition there but would that be connected to my urge to pee or a weird feeling after peeing? I will look into both of these and discuss with a doctor I see tonight. My girlfriend and I have been dating 3 years, we don’t typically use condoms but the past month we have used non latex condoms as she gets irritation from latex and since she got a uti. I just remember having lots of irritation growing up on my foreskin/shaft, I don’t know if its connected. My girlfriend got a UTI 2 weeks ago, is it possible I got it from her? (she also has an IUD) I used to use soap to clean my penis but would wash it thoroughly but the last 1-2 months I’ve been using only water and retracting my skin and washing it with warm water along with the outside. I’ve been using different kinds of creams over the past month to try and heal it such as: hydro cortisone, canistan cream, zinc oxide 0.5%, and an antifungal mixed cream.
could also be from protein supplementation? I work out daily and have been fr a long time. Could excess or too much of it affect me?
This is rather unlikely - if you want to rule it out stop taking it / them for a few months. Hopefully the Doctor will be of some help to you - whatever the case, put in place everything I have suggested and see how you get on for 3 or 4 weeks …
