Ratio of borax to water

Hello to all my saviors

I need to know the ratio between boric acid and water how much of each do I put in. I finally bit the bullet and bought some good spray bottles and some boric acid but I don't know how much of each I put in. Could someone please help me. It's just Jesus driving me crazy. Not only has it kept me isolated from friends and family it just kept me out of work and the pain is quite unbearable. My doctor has finally agreed to give me something for the pain. Unfortunately it is an opioid. But there is nothing else that match it enough for me to get through the day. I am taking a very small dosage. And not taking it if I don't have to. So. I am working on various appointments and whatnot but I do need to know the ratio between water and boric acid thank you so much

Dear Marilyn,

If you've bought boric acid, it's the wrong thing. Borax and boric acid are NOT the same sweet heart. Oh goodness I hope you didn't try the acid. You will cause some serious damage to your lady parts!!!

Marnie

Borax is Sodium borate.

Do NOT use Boric acid!!! It is not the right product! We are using about 1/8 cup sodium bicarbonate to a sitz bath that sits on the commode. Or baking soda.

DO NOT USE BORIC ACID!!

Hi there! What kind of opioids are they giving you? I highly recommend trying not to take an opioid as they are highly habit forming and this can happen very quickly! Also they will slow down your digestion ie your bowels can get backed up, and this can lead to issues too, not to mention mood swings. If you take it once in a while in extreme conditions then it’s not going to have the same effects. Have you consider cbd oil instead for pain? I hope someone else here can make suggestions for alternatives. A concentrated solution of borax just means keep adding borax, shake up the mix with water and when there’s still borax left after a big shake, you have yourself a concentrated solution. So sorry you are going through this.

Oh my God. I am so glad I asked about this. I'm pretty sure what I bought is boric acid and I did put some in the water my goodness. I still need to learn so much more. I will I will get the borax and not boric acid. My Lord but at least I found the right spray bottle. And it does feel good to put water in the area. And I just got home from a party and I am just exhausted from all of this itching and scratching and throbbing and pulsing and all this crap. I see the next drop your on the 17th of August. She is a general gynecologist then I see in February the vaginitis specialist I hope I last that long. Thank you all so much for replying back to me I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it thank you everyone have a good evening

Borax is borat sodium .... not boric acid....

Marilyn- I bought food safe Borax on Amazon, NOT BORIC ACID! Do NOT use!

You take about a tsp of borax, mix with enough water to make milky, soak a cotton ball in this and place it between your labia lips.

Hope this helps! 👍🏻❤️

You can also soak in a bath tub with it. I am so glad you responded. I was worried sick you used the acid on your skin. I think on that area it would have been very harmful. Thank goodness.

Thank god you asked and all these ladies have stopped you using it . Good luck with the borax .

Hi Julia . How much bicarbonate of soda do I put in a normal bath ? Just enough water to soak my private parts . Thanks.

I have only used in a seitz bath that is on the commode. And that is about 1/8 cup in the hottest water I can tolerate. Sitting about 10 or 15 minutes.

I also try to keep that whole area moisturized in between uses of Clobetisol.

Thanks Julia

Yikes Marilyn... Don't use boric acid honey! Boric acid is totally different than borax.

Borax is a natural mineral.

Here in the states we buy borax...

It's on the laundry detergent aisle. Here's my personal recipes hope they help smile

My Borax Recipe~

I have a spray bottle which I fill with warm water and then add a nice pinch of borax, (if you put the borax in the bottle and it completely dissolves add a pinch more until there is a residual left on the bottom that's how you know you have made a saturated solution which is what you want) I then add about 7 drops of lavender oil.

Baking Soda Recipe~

I also mix another spray bottle with a pinch or two of baking soda and 3 or 4 drops of tea tree oil.

If you do a bath mix about 1/3 of a cup of borax in a tub of water and soak for a good 15 to 20 minutes.

I use the borax spray mix a couple times a day especially after going to the toilet as it seems to help the most but I do alternate from time to time between the two but by all means do which ever works best for you!!!

Best Regards...

Hi guys. I am new to this group and so glad to know I am not alone. I was diagnosed in 2012 and have only been using dermovate cream. I also have an aqueous emolliant cream for washing.

I seem to go through times where its all ok but in the last 2 years have had really bad flare ups. The dermovate doesnt seem to do anything when this happens. I had a biopsy last April and was terrifiec it would show cancer. Thankfully it didnt. It cleared up again soon after.

It has returned with vengance and I can hardly sit down without cringing.

I have red and bleeding patches. I am finding going for a pee excrutiating and end up trying to avoid it until I am desperate. I dont have a bath to soak in. I hadnt heard if the Borax solution. How does that help? Do I need to start carrying a spray bottle with me?

I'm desperate for your support. Its so difficult to talk about with anyone.

Makes me feel like just lying down in a heap legs clamped together so I cant scratch. 😣

PLEASE DON'T use Borax except for cleaning! What you want is boric acid. Can't believe the misinformation on here.

WTF!!! NO YOU DO NOT USE BORAX FOR YOUR SITZ BATH! Use Boric Acid. Borax is for cleaning, and it will be a horrible painful mistake.

DO NOT USE BORAX IN A SITZ BATH! It is only for cleaning. That would be a horrible painful mistake.

DO NOT USE BORAX IN A SITZ BATH! It is only for cleaning. This would be a horrible painful mistake.

DO NOT USE BORAX IN A SITZ BATH! It is only for cleaning. That would be a horrible painful mistake. Boric acid is what you need. Look it up.
