Can somebody please help me I've been the doctors as I've been having some vaginal discharge witch I've never had b4 I had swabs done witch all came back fine and my smear test came back normal when I went back today she told me I had a raw patch on my cervix and now I am freaking out as u don't understand what it means or why u get a raw patch can some 1 please help me.
I doubt you can get a picture of your cervix on here..... so I'm going to guess that the doctor is either describing CERVICITIS, which is an inflammed cervix ( does not need to be infection) or a patch of DYSPLASIA or precancerous changes of the cervix. I suppose it could be an ulcer.
The next step would be HPV viral tests, pap test and a colposcopy, where the cervix is looked at under a high power lens. Maybe a small biopsy will be taken.
I know that all sounds scary, but cervical lesions are almost always just lasered off and cured

So did they refer fo colposcopy? I would never walk away and say "Oh yeah, that raw patch on my cervix. I've had that for years!" Not good enough. You need a description that makes sense to you.
