Hi again all, I'm having my gallbladder removed on the 12th November, next week and have to go in at 7.30 in the morning at Chesterfield Hospital, has anyone any idea of how long you have to wait for the operation as I always feel sick in mornings and especially with no food and drink etc.
Stella ring surgeons Secretary and ask if she can find out. I went in a 7.30 and first on list, went down at 9.00 am. You have to allow time for the questions and check ups to be done. You may not get to know till you get in on the day as the list can bechanged around. You just have to be patient not easy I know. Not long to go and will be over.
Takes about an hour total for the surgery with no complications takes longer in recovery actually and the no eating wont go away till after the surgery and even after surgery you're still going to have some complications I just had the surgery its been a little over a week I'm eating but less than my two-year-old and going to the bathroom as far as pooping without any type of laxative is impossible for me at this point it is a slow process even after surgery but the surgery was the best thing I ever did
I go in on the 11 for my surgery check in time is 8:45. Surgery 10:45, surgery is about two hours. Total time in hospital is 6 hrs is what my surgeon said. Good luck.
