Re- my thr

Hi everyone,

well today i went out to the shops for the first time since my opp. I feel a lot better for it, no pain, and it was great to get out of the house again, wishing all my fellow hippies a great christmas and new year,

Lynne xx

Hi Lynne.

How long ago did you have it done?

Great you got out.

I am right hip down had it done September and left hip being done Feb.

Merry Christmas 🎅 and Happy New Year to you too

Jane

Goodmorning Lynne,

The sun is shining here in Toronto, hope you get a bit yourself today!

I know it was a nice feeling to get up and dressed and have place to go.

My big excitment was going to physio twice a week...that was my social life for about l2 weeks....I was one of those that took things very slowly.

Whomever took you out, perhaps they would be good enough to do it again(a little buttering up may be needed on your part - I played the guilt card with my daughter a few times as she does not live close and you know how "busy" the young kids are now adays!!!)

I will be thinking of you and maybe a little hint what I did as I was all alone also...I broke the day into sections, had the morning coffee, got washed and dressed, read and maybe made a phone call, lunch, nap, tea and soaps on TV....it doesn't matter what you do, but it seems if you have a purpose (no matter how big or small), it gets you through the day.

Love from Patricia

Thanks Lynne, and the same from me.

Its great your getting out and about after weeks of recovery..

We all should look forward not back, and think on what we can do,not what we can't..

there's always folks worse of than us.

happy Crimbo everyone.

paul.

Well done Lynne, downhill all the way now. Have a great xmas & New Year.

Same to you Lynne!  Glad your day out went so well and hope many more for you!

Beautiful Lynn, beautiful.

I was actually driving at 5 weeks. Within 5/6 days I went from using a walker to no walking aids to driving.

There is a realy big hump that seems to take place depending on your age and your helath, a real hump that takes place around week 4 & week 5, 51/2.

All of the suddend when you ahve been so down, all of the sudden you make a rapid recovery, it was that way for me and from reading this site for a while the way that is for most people also.

Oh God, remember the torture of weeks, 1 and 2, sleeping (not!) on your back, pain etc? It all kind of gets better. You just can't push it. It takes time for your body to heal, for tendon's that have been cut to heal, for brusing to heal. Once that happens between week 4 - 5, 5 1/2 things get better rapidly.

Good for you Lynne.

When did you have it done?

Merry Christmas, and all the very best for the coming Year.
